Garry McMichael, a Pastel artist in St. Louis uses Preval to preserve his work with a protective fixative.
Garry just recently started using Preval. He uses a fixative through the Preval Sprayer to protect his original pastels. Pastels flake over time so a fixative is necessary. The fixatives that are traditionally used darken and change his painting. Garry then takes pictures of his pastels, and makes a group of ink prints. Garry also found that using the Preval Spray System with a mixture of 2 parts acrylic medium and 1 part water, protects the ink prints beautifully and results in a wonderful coating that makes his work very durable. You can hang the print with no glass!
