Preval Fuels Growth In The Global Surface Repair And Finishes Industry

A world leader in the paint and coating industry, Preval is continually developing innovative new products that drive exceptional sales growth for retailers and distributors. Preval’s high-quality, high-value products are matched by exceptional client service. The company’s full line of complementary products and accessories is designed to make spraying more accessible and effective for novice and professional users in nearly every industry. The company’s three core products are at the center of its design strategy.

PREVAL SPRAYER

Preval is known across the globe for its namesake product, the Preval Sprayer, a professional grade aerosol system that provides an affordable, portable and precise alternative to compressor-dependent spray guns. The Preval Sprayer is powered like a typical aerosol can but delivers the professional results of a traditional spray gun. Its value and portability have made the Sprayer a touch-up staple in industries as diverse as automotive, nautical and aviation repair; and furniture-making and crafting.

vFan AIRBRUSH

Like the Sprayer, the vFan Airbrush delivers professional results, including highly precise hairline detail and fan patterns, at a fraction of the cost and effort of competitors’ airbrush and spray systems. The vFan Airbrush is used by those seeking expert-level touch-ups and surface repairs, surface preparation and fast curing. The dual-action vFan Airbrush is easy to control, allowing the user to manage air volume and product output. This precision based technology allows vFan Airbrush users to atomize product finish coatings, paints and chemicals with nano-sized droplets for ultra-thin layering to feather, blend and speed up cure times.

vGRIP

The vGrip 2-in-1 handle and ergonomic trigger attaches easily to the Preval Sprayer as well as any other standard aerosol can. With a low manufacturer suggested retail price, the vGrip allows all aerosol paint applications to be achieved with zero finger fatigue and maximum spray comfort. The device is built with an ergonomic trigger that accommodates 4-finger use as opposed to market standards that allow room for only 1 or 2 fingers. Distributing pressure among a greater number of fingers makes spraying much easier and more comfortable.

February 2013: Preval earned the prestigious Sherwin-Williams Vendor of the year Award, which recognizes a small group of suppliers who have demonstrated substantial success in a variety of categories, including double-digit sales growth, high-quality and high-value products, ambitious new product development and exceptional service and management.

January 2012: The vFan Airbrush was recognized as the most innovative new product in the Sundries category by Val-Test, one of the largest paint and hardware buying groups in the united States.

November 2011: The vFan Airbrush was named runner-up for best new Packaging Display by the Specialty equipment market Association (SEMA). SEMA awards recognize the most innovative products entering the market for superiority of innovation, technical achievement, quality and workmanship, consumer appeal and marketability.

Preval Wins Prestigious Sherwin-Williams Vendor Award

Sherwin-Williams announced last month it has awarded its Vendor of the Year Award to Preval, a division of Chicago Aerosol. This is the first time the company has received the prestigious award, which recognizes a small group of suppliers who have demonstrated substantial success in a variety of categories, including double-digit sales growth, high quality and high value products, ambitious new product development and exceptional service and management.

(PRWEB) February 07, 2013

Sherwin-Williams announced last month it has awarded its Vendor of the Year Award to Preval, a division of Chicago Aerosol. This is the first time the company has received the prestigious award, which recognizes a small group of suppliers who have demonstrated substantial success in a variety of categories, including double-digit sales growth, high quality and high value products, ambitious new product development and exceptional service and management.

Peter Sedlak, vice president of Marketing & Purchasing at the Sherwin-Williams Co., said Preval was selected for the award, in part, because of the company’s drive to succeed and the unprecedented success of its relatively new vFan, a portable airbrush system that has been enthusiastically welcomed among professional contractors as well as a number of other industries.

The vFan led to a 12 percent sales gain in Preval’s Sherwin-Williams contracts. And despite the rapid growth in the paint and coatings industry and others, Preval has maintained as one of its core business values an unrelenting focus on quality, value and customer service.

“Somehow they (the Preval Spray Team) can separate themselves from the pack by out-servicing most," Sedlak said.

Preval, and its parent company, Chicago Aerosol, were recognized with the award at the Sherwin-Williams’ vendor luncheon this month in Nashville, Tenn.

“Winning this award from Sherwin-Williams, one of the biggest names in the paint and coatings industry, validates all of the hard work that we have put into bringing innovative new products to the market and setting ourselves apart from the competition,” said Preval President Sam Averbuch.

The vFan is used for precision paint and material dispensing; touch-ups and surface repairs; surface preparation; and curing. Distributed worldwide, the vFan is used in diverse markets across the globe, including the appliance, automotive, aerospace, arts, bookbinding, craft and hobby, container, converting, electronics, food and beverage, furniture, home improvement, life sciences and medical, light emitting diodes (LED), metal finishing, marine, new home resurfacing, non-woven, packaging, scrap booking, semiconductor and solar energy and textile industries.

The vFan Airbrush is the only device on the market that converts to an airgun and achieves both 3-inch fan and 1/16-inch hairline patterns. Amazingly portable, the vFan Airbrush can be used in all environments when powered by 150 Feet of Energy, Preval’s innovative, eco-friendly aerosol compressor unit. Each canister of 150 Feet of Energy contains 7 ounces of VOC-exempt propellant that powers more than 150 feet of linear paint coverage and up to 40 square feet of paint coverage. The vFan Airbrush is also compatible with most workshop compressors.

In addition to the vFan, Preval is well known for its Sprayer, a portable, professional-grade, inexpensive spray system that is used for countless applications. The Sprayer is disposable, recyclable, easy to clean and where no compressor is needed. Preval has also recently introduced a number of other complementary products to the marketplace.

New Preval Product Takes the Pain Out of Spraying

CHICAGO, Nov. 12, 2012 -- /PRNewswire/ -- Preval has introduced the world's finest aerosol gun handle to its award-winning line of products. The vGrip 2-in-1 handle and ergonomic trigger is now available in retailers across North America, through marine and automotive paint and body distribution, and online at Preval.com.  The vGrip attaches easily to the company's iconic Preval Sprayer as well as any other standard aerosol can. With a low manufacturer suggested retail price of $4.95, the vGrip allows all aerosol paint applications to be achieved with zero finger fatigue and maximum spray comfort.

(Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20110825/CG57840LOGO)

"For those who are frequent aerosol sprayers, people with arthritis and OR other conditions, the vGrip is a finger-saver," said Preval President Sam Averbuch. "It is designed to take the pain out of spraying."

The device is built with an ergonomic trigger that accommodates 4-finger use as opposed to market standards that allow room for only 1 or 2 fingers. Distributing pressure among a greater number of fingers makes spraying much easier and more comfortable. Preval manufactures the majority of its products in the United States and is proud the vGrip is also made in the United States and from recycled plastic materials. The durable construction withstands repeated use.

Preval is best-known for its professional-grade Sprayer, a unique product that provides an affordable, portable and precise alternative to compressor-dependent spray guns. It also more recently added the vFan Portable Airbrush System to its product line, as well as a number of portable energy devices that give users the flexibility to complete projects in any environment regardless of the availability of a power source. Like the Sprayer, the vFan system is able to deliver 1/16-inch detail adjusting to a 3-inch fan pattern for professional results, including paint flow control, at a fraction of the cost and effort of competitors' touch-up and spray systems.

"Continuous innovation is one of our highest priorities," Averbuch said. "In addition to adding to our product line, innovation allows us to develop and expand the Preval brand and solidify our stature in the paint, coating and small spray delivery technologies market."

The vGrip was developed in part out of a market assessment that led Averbuch to identify trends in the spray and coating industry. A realization that demand in the industry is driven in part by an aging customer base, an increasing number of expert users, a demand for products manufactured in the United States, a desire for recycled and green products and a preference for products that are easy and comfortable to use.

"But nothing trumps customer satisfaction at Preval, and our main goal in every new product design has always been to solve problems and make it easier for our customers to finish projects faster, better and easier," Averbuch said.

Chris Wimmer Racing

Wauasu, WI – Chris Wimmer brought home his fifth straight top five finish Sunday at Madison International Speedway and his third top five finish in a row in ASA Midwest Tour events.  “This year I build a new Pathfinder Chassis so it always takes a little time to figure out a new car,” says Wimmer, “We’ve been able to get a little better handle on it the past few races and hopefully we can continue to build on it.”

Wimmer, who owns the track record at Madison International Speedway,  qualified sixth for the Colony Brands 100 and began the race from the 5th position.

Wimmer wasted little time working his way to the front and within the first 15 laps found himself in the second position.  As Wimmer tried to hunt down the 5 car of Jeremy Miller another 5 car was in hot pursuit of Wimmer and his #52 Preval/RaceTeamGear.com Chevy.

Sauter worked his way around Wimmer just before the halfway mark of the race and Wimmer settled comfortably in to the third spot.

With just over 10 laps to go fast qualifier Nathan Haseleu had worked his way up from his ninth starting position and pressured Wimmer for the final podium spot.  Haseleu used a lap car to pick his way around Wimmer and seal the third position.  Wimmer came home 4th for his third straight top five finish in the ASAMT.  “Just about half way my car started to get really loose,” says Wimmer, “It had felt pretty good all day, but when you’re racing guys hard these tires really wear out.  I’m happy to be running up towards the front and to be finishing in the top five, but one of these times we’re gonna win one.”

Wimmer’s strong showing closed the gap a little in the ASA Midwest Tour point battle.  Wimmer and his #52 machine gained eight points on leader Jonathan Eilen and sit 27 points back with five events remaining.  “The way the point system is set up it’s really hard to gain a lot of points in one race,” says WImmer, “We’re going to try to not focus on the points and just come to the track and do the best we can.  If we do that hopefully we’ll be there at the end.”

Wimmer’s next race is Saturday at Noway Speedway in Norway Michigan.  For more information on Chris Wimmer please visit www.chriswimmer.com

 PRNewswire - August 24, 2011

Preval has announced an expansion in global sales and distribution of its products through an agreement reached with Shachamorov Import and Marketing Ltd., based in Rosh Haayin, Israel.

Preval manufactures the professional-grade Sprayer, a unique product that provides an affordable, portable and precise alternative to compressor-dependent spray guns. Like the Sprayer, the vFan Airbrush is able to deliver professional results, including hairline detail and fan patterns, at a fraction of the cost and effort of competitors’ airbrush and spray systems.

Preval has made significant investments in bringing its products to the international marketplace in the last 18 months, adding foreign-country master distributor agreements in Turkey and the Phillipines in addition to Israel. Preval Puts Its Spray Power Behind New Product Launch

PRWeb - Fri, Sep 16, 2011

Chicago-based company known for innovative aerosol technology adds high-tech portable airbrush to family of products.

Chicago, Ill. (PRWEB) September 16, 2011

Loyal devotees of the patented Preval Sprayer are in for a big treat. Preval, a division of Chicago Aerosol, has put its innovative technology back to work in a series of new products that launched this week.

The new, patent-pending vFan Portable Airbrush System harnesses the same inventiveness behind the Preval Sprayer, which has drawn millions of users worldwide. The vFan Portable Airbrush System utilizes its own innovative, eco-friendly aerosol technology to deliver portable, professional-grade spray results at a fraction of the cost of other comparable spray systems. The system includes multiple tip attachments, which can be swapped out to achieve a variety of spray effects. From fan spray patterns to hairline details, the vFan Airbrush delivers incredible atomized results.

Perfect for the automotive, marine and paint industries, the vFan Airbrush is half the size and weight of its competitors. Perfectly suited for latex, clear-coat, water-based or solvent-based paints, coatings and stains, the vFan Airbrush achieves a superior, even finish with very little overspray. Built from stainless steel, brass and solvent-proof coatings, the durability of the vFan Airbrush is far superior to market alternatives, most which are manufactured in China.

The vFan Airbrush, like all of Preval’s products, is made in the United States, something the company’s President, Sam Averbuch, says is consistent with the company’s core values.

“People have asked why we are investing in new product development during a down economy,” Averbuch said. “The popularity of the Preval Sprayer has given us the opportunity to carry on America’s great tradition of ingenuity. We want to grow our business now more than ever, in the hope that we can create new opportunities in our local and national economies and stimulate demand for American-made products.”

While the vFan Airbrush is compatible with most workshop compressors, its optimal power source is the portable, aerosol-based compressor called 150 Feet of ENERGY, which comes with the vFan Airbrush System and is also sold separately. Another exciting new product powered by Preval, 150 Feet of ENERGY is virtually silent and perfect in situations where a traditional compressor is impossible to use because of its size, noise or lack of a power source. The units come with a dusting tip and extension wand that make easy work of cleaning sanding debris as well as a drying tip that can be attached to the unit to speed curing times for certain paint applications.

Preval also introduced a 6-pack of touch-up jars for use with the Preval Sprayer and the vFan Airbrush. Made of solvent-proof polypropylene plastic, the touch-up jars are shatter-proof and meet regulations set forth by the EPA 6H rule. The jars come with six dip tubes, six screw-on storage lids and six peel-away labels.

Wimmer Turns Day Around for Top-Ten Finish in ASA Midwest Tour Opener

May 2, 2011, Wausau, WI – Chris Wimmer showed what he’s made of Sunday at Madison International Speedway for the ASA Midwest Tour opener. Forced to use a provisional to start the Joe Shear Classic 136, Wimmer began the race from the 25th position, but drove his Preval Chevy towards the front for a seventh place finish. “The day just didn’t go how I hoped,” says Chris Wimmer, “But I knew if we could just get in the race it was a long 136 laps and I would get the chance to pick up some spots. The car was actually pretty good in the race and to end the day with a top-ten was a big boost considering how things started.”

Wimmer timed in 25th for the ASAMT opening event and encountered some contact in the last chance qualifier, but with his runner-up finish on the Tour last year, was all but guaranteed a starting position in the Joe Shear Classic. “You hate to have to fall back on a provisional, especially this year in the season,” says Wimmer, “But it’s all about being in the race, you never know what can happen. After the contact in the last chance race, it was best just to stay out of trouble and get in to the show.”

The Preval Chevy started the 136-lap event from the 25th position and just two laps in to the race, Wimmer found himself in some trouble. The #52 tried to make a pass on Thor Anderson, but ended up in the infield grass. “I’m not exactly sure what happened,” says Wimmer, “I was on the inside of the #4 and next thing I knew I was spinning. I brought the car in to the guys and didn’t have any damage, so we got right back out there.”

Once back on track the next 30-laps were nothing short of interesting. Filled with cautions, Wimmer managed to keep the Preval #52 out of trouble and began to work his way to the front. With the 100-lap break approaching Wimmer found himself holding steady in the seventh position. “I was surprised at the amount of cautions in the first 50 laps,” says Wimmer, “It was almost a blessing to be towards the back because I was able to keep the car clean. When things settled down I was able to get past a few cars and work my way in to the top ten.”

Just a few minor adjustments were made to the Preval Chevy during the 10 minute break and Wimmer held on to that seventh spot as the checkers flew. “The car just got a little too tight during those final 36 laps,” said Wimmer, “I might have been able to pick off a few more cars if I would have freed it up a bit, but I am definitely happy with a seventh place finish, especially with how the day started.”

Next up for Wimmer and the Preval Chevy is the SCAG Power Equipment Dixie Land 100 at Wisconsin International Raceway on Sunday, May 15th. A practice day is held on Saturday with racing set to start at 2pm on Sunday. For more information on the Dixie Land 100 please log on to www.asamidwesttour.com. Also, please follow Chris Wimmer all season and the Preval Chevy on Facebook – www.facebook.com/chriswimmerracing and Twitter - @CWimmerRacing. For more information on Preval visit www.preval.com.

Suckers for Speed

We are so excited for the powerboat competition season to begin. Our sponsored partner, DEO Motorsports, hauled their boat from Stratford, Ontario, to Port Neches, Texas, this past week to compete in the Port Neches Riverfest starting tomorrow.

This is the second season we have sponsored DEO Motorsports’ father-and-son team, Eric and Dan Orchard. Preval Plans on Winning, With Wimmer Behind the Wheel

Auto racing buffs have plenty of uses for the Preval Sprayer and to help spread the word, Preval has joined forces with Chris Wimmer, who finished runner-up in the ASA Midwest Tour (ASAMT) last year. As Wimmer’s sponsor for the 2011 season, Preval will have a direct avenue for sharing the Preval Sprayer’s capabilities with the racing community. Wimmer already is passionate about Preval. “I’m very excited about this partnership,” he said. “Preval is not only a great fit for me, but also the ASA Midwest Tour. Their product is so versatile almost everyone can benefit from it, and I know I will use it in my race shop.” With high hopes for the 2011 season, Wimmer plans on putting the Preval Chevy in Victory Lane. The ASA Midwest Tour kicks off the 2011 season with the Joe Shear Classic Sunday, May 1st at Madison International Speedway. Wimmer earned two top-ten finishes at MIS last year and found victory lane there in 2009. Qualifying begins at 12:45pm Sunday with racing set to start at 2pm.

Preval Races Toward NASCAR Notoriety

The Preval name crossed the finish line at last weekend’s Scotts EZ Seed 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee.

As a sponsor of the No. 40 Key Motorsports Chevrolet with veteran driver Scott Wimmer behind the wheel, Preval became even more visible to some of its biggest fans – auto enthusiasts who have numerous uses for the Preval Spray Gun, including paint touch-ups, cleaning and maintenance.

Key Motorsports Owner Curtis Key said: “We appreciate Preval coming on board for Bristol this weekend. Preval is a leader in their field and everyone on the team is excited to have the opportunity to represent Preval to NASCAR Nationwide Series fans."

About 18,000 spectators were at the race, and Wimmer finished 22nd.

"This was an exciting opportunity for Preval,” said Preval President Sam Averbuch. “The Preval Spray Gun is about speed, power and precision – just like the Key Motorsports Chevrolet."
