Get Gorgeous Grain Pop on Maple with Good Prep and Preval

Classic maple wood furnishings like desks and dressers always look best with a gleaming finish. No matter how dinged and worn down from years of use, you can obtain great grain pop with any piece of maple furniture through careful sanding, the right stain application and a final polyurethane varnish coat.

The kitchen tends to be the busiest room in our homes. After years of cooking, cleaning, opening and closing even the highest quality kitchen cabinets will show signs of wear and tear--and maybe an accumulation of grease and grime.

This desk was painted with Martha Stewart's Metallic Glaze in Muscovado and  Glitter Paint in Aquaurium Blue. The final touches were made with an Automotive urethane Clearcoat from the Preval Sprayer to help give the table a nice Marble-esque finish.
