Weather outside now calls for leather. Is yours ready?

I don't know about you, but I love when it gets chilly enough to wear my suede pea coat or my leather jacket and gloves. Sometimes I forget what wear and tear I may have put them through the year before. Having kids pretty much alter how clean your things end up being! This past weekend, I pulled out my brown leather jacket and it appears as though my 5 year old smeared some sort of chocolate concoction on the back. I decided to see if there was something I could use to clean it myself instead of taking it to a leather cleaner.

So I decided to Google "Homemade Leather Cleaner", and lo and behold, I found an easy recipe on how to clean my leather jacket and any other leather items I have! The best part of this recipe is that i can use my Preval Sprayer to apply the mixture!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup water
  • 1 tablespoon liquid castile soap
  • 1/4 Cup white vinegar
  • Preval Sprayer
  • Soft, dry rag

What to do:

  • Add ingredients to the Preval reservoir.
  • Attach plastic cap
  • Shake Preval reservoir
  • Attach Preval Power Unit
  • LIghtly spray leather cleaner on a rag until damp
  • wipe down area until the spot is removed

Voila! Worked like a charm. It's almost as if I have a brand new leather jacket! Oh! Also on the same site, I saw a leather polish using castor oil and wheat germ oil. You can use both the cleaner and polish on your leather furniture!
