The Cortec Corporation was kind enough to send us folks over here at Preval a chance to test their product VpCI - 427. I am proud to write that their product worked great with the Preval Spray Gun. The typical spray uses are designed to remove oxide scale from parts and equipment fabricated from aluminum alloys, and as a preperation of aluminum surfaces for further processing such as anodizing, electroplating or coating.
In the past and currently, mineral acids and caustic soda were traditionally sprayed and used as cleaners for aluminum substrates and I am glad to see this product arise as it works so well. No more scale formation upon heating. It dissolves aluminum oxide film from the surface and subsequently prevents its redepositing an oxide scale. Preval and this product can both be typically used in structural elements, automotive components and castings. Aircraft parts and components.
Application:
The longer you keep the spray on the surface, and exposed to VpCL-427 will depend on the need for corrossion removal. VpCL-427 may be rinsed off with water, Please follow all safety precautions on the MSDS for for Preval and VpCL-427 or any recommended product.
