Staining Wood with the Preval Spray System

When you use the Preval Spray System, you have lots of options for staining wood. One great thing about Preval's versatility is that it is easy to use more than one color. This presents the option to produce designs with different colors by using different wood stains. It is important to prevent one color from spreading along the grain of the wood and blurring into the next. This is achieved by carving a groove out of the specific area. In essence, carve the outline of the designs before staining. You can achieve this by deeply scoring the wood with a utility knife. Using your Preval sprayer, apply the stain, working from the middle of each section towards the edges. If the stain does go into the next section, you might be able to scrape it away lightly with the blade of a knife. Rescore the line, as it was perhaps not deep enough to prevent soaking through. When the design has been colored and is dry, wipe the surface with a clean, dry cloth to pick up any excess stain before varnishing the area with at least 3 coats of clear varnish.
