Sea Breeze in your Hair

Posted on Thursday, September 30th, 2010 at 10:48 AM

I don't know about you, but I love the way my hair looks after I've been to the beach. The salty air just does something amazing to my hair. It looks wavy and a little bit wild, and of course, my hubs loves the way it looks. Unfortunately my family cannot take a vaca to the sea shore every time mom wants the windy toussled look, so I decided to do some research and found an article about creating your own sea salt styling spray on ehow.com. I of course took this idea and messed it with my trusty Preval Sprayer.

Items Needed:

  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 6 oz. Water
  • Preval Sprayer

What to do:

  1. Add sea salt and water into reservoir
  2. Attach cap to reservoir and shake well checking for salt particles (salt should be completely dissolve before use).
  3. Attach Preval power unit to reservoir
  4. Spray hair with sea salt water as you scrunch to create waves. (this can be done to dry hair or hair that you've dampened prior to styling.)

Tip: to avoid drying out and damaging your hair try to do this technique with hair that is not freshly washed. Try washing your hair the day before styling with the sea salt water. Also, to help hold the style, if your hair doesn't hold wave well, spray some hairspray once you've styled your hair to keep.

Now you don't have to go to the beach to have wind swept hair. Enjoy the look!
