For me there is nothing better than taking an older car and cleaning up the inside of it.  Especially  a Mustang! I always start with the radio and try to get the best one I can afford.  That is where most of my money will go.  But a good radio with a junky dashboard never looks good. After I get the radio replaced I always want to put a fresh new paint to cover the interior plastic dashboard.  Remove your dashboard carefully!!
It's not as difficult as it may appear, so take your time and be slow when pulling it out, looking for cords or wires, etc.

You can use dyes and re-dye a dash which will also turn out great. For perfect match, tell the auto store what you are trying to do before you go in and they will tell you how to mix colors in the glass jar of the preval.  I like to either match the exterior of the car or the interior.  Keep it simple but classy, get a pint of any interior paint, and tell the guys at the automotive store that its for hard surfaces (there is many to choose from, also a soft surface mix). Take your Preval spray kit and practice a little bit on a scrap piece of metal or paper, and paint the dash. The preval will spray around 16ounces so you will have leftover.  So paint the whole interior, all hard surfaces if you want, I like to redo the console, a pillar, the kick panels, ect. No needing a compressor and spraying guns.

Items needed:
  • Tools to take out the Dashboard
  • Interior paint for hard plastic surfaces.  let it dry thoroughly and sprayed 2-3 light coats
  • Clear coat if you want a shine
  • Preval Sprayer

Send us some pics when your done!
