Fun with Liquid Sidewalk Chalk!

Sidewalk chalk is a ton of fun to have around for your kids. With so many new different craft utensils out there now, it's fun to try something out that you can make from home to use. Liquid sidewalk chalk, I discovered is so much easier to make from scratch than I could have imagined!

Materials needed:

  • 1/4 Cup Corn starch
  • 1/4 Cup Cold Water
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spoons for mixing
  • Preval Sprayer/s
  • Food Coloring

What to do:

  1. Pour cornstarch into mixing bowl
  2. Mix cold water in with cornstarch until smooth
  3. Depending on how many colors you want, pour small amounts of mixture into separate Preval reservoirs
  4. Add a few drops of food coloring to each reservoir and mix until you reach the desired color
  5. Attach Preval power unit when you are ready to go outside and make chalk art on the sidewalks, street or driveway. To store the unused liquid chalk, simply remove and clean power unit and dip tube and seal reservoir with the plastic cap until next time!

Playing with sidewalk chalk can be a ton of fun, but making liquid sidewalk chalk from home with your kids can be a fun experience and opens more options for chalk artwork!
